How to use this Bible crossword
Sunday school teachers and homeschool families often want a review activity that fits the lesson they just taught. This puzzle uses well-known stories that come up across most children’s programs: the flood, David and Goliath, Jonah, Daniel and the birth of Jesus. The clues are plain and factual, and you can rewrite any of them to fit your own curriculum or translation.
- Read the clues and edit anything to match your lesson, one "answer: clue" per line.
- Add names or places from this week’s story. If one cannot cross the others, the page names it.
- Turn on the word bank for younger children, and leave it off for older groups.
- Print the puzzle and answer key, or save them as a PDF to share with other teachers.
Tips
- Use it as a quiet opener while families arrive, then go over the answers together.
